Traditional Khmer House Cambodia

Traditional Khmer House

A picture of a traditional “middle-class” Khmer house found all over the country.  Many are on stilts to avoid flood-waters, and the lower part of the house, when it is not flooded can be used to store items, and even to rest during the day, for it is quite a bit cooler there than inside the wooden upper level.
